Will Canada be the next leader in gas hydrate development? According to experts appointed by the Council of Canadian Academies, the country is positioned to become a global leader in the exploration and production of natural gas.

While the 13-member panel, compiled of industry experts, believes Canada is a viable candidate for major natural gas production, the group also warned extensive research is required to better understand the country’s potential.
